Addiction Neuroscience Network Australia (ANNA) Workshop

ANNA 2006
Developing a research strategy to explore the addicted brain.

The workshop, a satellite of the ISBRA 2006 Congress, will bring together top international research scientists focused on addiction with other leading neuroscientists and clinicians to formulate strategies for:

Closing the gap between clinical practice and scientific research.

Developing animal models and neuroimaging techniques that will formulate research directions for gene arrays, neural signalling, cell and whole animal constructs, micro modelling and computer simulation of neural functions.

The inaugural two-and-a-half-day ANNA workshop has been convened by ANNA (Addiction Neuroscience Network Australia) to develop a strategic framework for future research activities. The workshop will be held in Hamilton Island, Queensland, Australia from 7 - 10 September 2006. The main ISBRA
2006 Congress will then follow from 10 - 13 September 2006 in Sydney, Australia.

On Thursday, 14 September 2006 we are offering Japanese delegates a workshop on alcohol treatment programs in Australia.

The annual APSAD Drug and Alcohol Conference plays an important role in the life of the society, providing an important avenue for APSAD to promote the use of best practice approaches in the prevention, early intervention and treatment of alcohol and other drug problems.

IBRO 2007 International Congress of Neuroscience

The International Brain Research Organisation 2007 International Congress of Neuroscience, to be held in Melbourne from July 12-17, 2007. IBRO 2007 will be a show-case of national and international neuroscience research and IBRO 2007 will involve 8 lectures, 64 symposia, many workshops, and at least 16 satellite meetings.
